A weak cold front
A weak cold front in a northeast to southwest line through the northern tip of Vancouver Island will move southward across the South coast region today. A weak ridge of high pressure building Over the offshore waters will move onto the north coast tonight.
We will see fluctuating freezing levels from 1250m up to 1900m. Accompanying the bouncing freezing level will be ongoing precipitation, cloudy periods and winds out of the S 50-60 and increasing to 90 later in the afternoon. This front is expected to be with us until late Sunday afternoon, at which time we should begin to see some clearing and a brief respite from the precipitation.
A major system will arrive early Monday bringing copius precipitation...
Cooler air should arrive sometime Tuesday and Wednesday night another major system will bring continued snowfall through Friday
