A strong cold front crossing the north and central coast will make its way to the south coast early this afternoon. Spreading Heavy Snow And Strong Winds To The Region. Scattered Flurries Will Linger Over The Area Tonight Before Another Frontal System Approaches The Region On Wednesday Giving Periods Of Snow.
The associated low pressure centre is forecast to move onto the north coast this afternoon. Strong westerly flow will remain behind the departed system then another weaker frontal system is forecast to cross the central coast on Wednesday. Another system with more snow accumulation to the valley Thursday and Friday. We could see up to another 1m of snow by Saturday as a relentless surge of pacific frontal systems pound our area. Should be getting very deep by the end of the week.
