    A weak ridge of high pressure will rebuild over Queen Charlotte Sound this morning then shift to the central coast late in the day.
    A low pressure centre will approach the offshore waters deepening to 993 MB over north island overnight.

    Conditions Will Gradually Improve As A Trough Exits The Region And A Weak Surface Ridge Pushes In From The South This Afternoon. Another Disturbance Will Reach The South Coast Mountains Tonight Resulting In Snow To The Higher Elevations.
