Warm air
Whistler Weather forecast
A warm front will continue to give periods of drizzle or light snow to the alpine today along with very high freezing levels.
A saturated airmass will continue to produce cloudy skies and the chance of drizzle through early Tuesday afternoon.
A strong ridge of high pressure will become established along the coast through the extended period producing a westerly flow of mild pacific air over the alpine of the south coast mountains. Freezing levels will remain very high through the period.
With the increased warming our already fragile snowpack will become even more reactive. Backcountry travel is not advised at this time due to the weak and unpredictable nature of the snowpack.
