A 1008 mb low off Vancouver island tonight will meet arctic air possibly resulting in a good dump of snow (the conditions will have to be just right for this to happen) The latest models would seem to say most off this precip will fall to the south and east of us tonight not resulting in a huge snowfall here tonight. Mountain top winds currently are 60 gusting 90km/ph from the south as of 6pm with not much precip right now.

Near 5 cm of snow is expected over most of the south coast with local amounts up to -10-15 cm near Whistler and much more in the alpine.
By mid day tomorrow we may see some clearing mid/late afternoon. Some clearing in behind Wednesday with plummiting temperatures late in the day will suck all the moisture out of the snow resulting in some of the better riding conditions of the season. Be prepared with an extra layer of clothing for late in the day Wednesday as gusty northeast arctic winds will breifly pick up.

In behind a cloudy day for Thursday with low temps, warmer Friday, a mix of sun and cloud though early in the day Saturday freezing level in the valley.
The next major system comes in early Sunday right now with some warming to around 1500m.
The long range looks good with a strong jet stream taking aim at us through next week with cool temperatures.
