Snow finally
Whistler Weather forecast
A large 918mb low pressure system spinning off the Oregon coast will slowly edge towards the region in the next couple of days. Sending in waves of moisture.
A weak trough in advance of the main system may give some light precipitation starting around noon. A second and stronger disturbance will bring more organized precipitation over the South Coast Mountains by this afternoon and into tonight.
In the wake of that disturbance drier conditions can be expected on Monday. However the main low pressure system will spread another round of organized precipitation to the region late in the day Monday bringing more snow.
Freezing levels this morning 1500 metres to 2000 metres, dropping to 1000 metres this afternoon.
Mountain top winds southeast 30 km/h gusting to 50.
The low pressure system will establish off the South Coast on Tuesday bringing low freezing levels and periods of snow.
Arctic air will advance towards the region on Wednesday spreading colder air and more snow. Drier and warmer conditions are expected on Thursday as the Arctic air retreats.
