After a barage of endless storms all week it looks like it's clearing out. Winds in the alpine reached over 150 km/ph at 5pm today. The temperature at the top of peak was -10C at 9pm.
A cold front will move across the South Coast late this afternoon. Drier conditions and lower freezing levels are expected in the wake of the front tonight. An upper disturbance will cross the region Saturday into Sunday giving a few flurries to alpine regions.
Avalanche danger will be high for Saturday in the Alpine and below treeline after receiving around 120cm during the week.
