A huge deep low weakening low 973 mb located west of the Alaska panhandle is generating a strong southwest flow across the forecast area. A frontal system will bring strong to gale force southeast winds to the south and central coast on Sunday. Winds will rise to storm force over most of the central waters by noon Sunday. Huge waves accompany this storm with wave height averages 30+ ft.Snow levels will hover near 1000 metres today and Sunday, but become lower overnight. Additional snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm are expected through to Sunday afternoon, Sunday night the main part of thee storm will hit through Monday..Snow in the Alpine.
