A series of Pacific storms have dumped over 1m of snow last week in the alpine, and more is on the way.
Systems on the way for the next week......
Thursday night through Friday: We should receive close to 20cm out of this.
Saturday night
Will begin somewhat slowly however Freezing levels will rise to around 1100m during part of this. Accumulation are forecast in the 30-50cm range per day. Winds willl increase to near 70km/ph
Sunday Day through Monday
The storm will essentially stall, and begin to cool down. Accumulation are forecast in the 30-50cm range per day. Freezing level 1650m lowering to 1250m. Winds are forecast in excess of 100km/ph
Early next week late Sunday
THe system stalls over the Westcoast bringing copious amounts of precip with lots of warm air. Freezing levels are forecast to rise.
Late next week
This one looks like a doozy..Freezing level 1100m.
Time to clear your schedule, this series of systems might well go down in the record books as one of the best starts to the season ever!!!!
