Arctic air
Whistler Weather forecast
Arctic front to bring gusty winds and colder temperatures...

A high pressure ridge building down from Yukon will result in strong cold Arctic outflow near coastal inlets and valleys for the next few days. Over the north coast northerly winds will rise to as high as 80 km/h by Sunday night with cold wind chill near minus 20 possible. The alpine will see the really cold air start to invade Sunday night with -20c temps and severe windchiils.
A strong arctic ridge of high pressure is building in over the region and will usher in a period of sunny but cold conditions. Cold, dry outflow conditions will persist through the Friday next week, Wednesday and Thursday look very frigid as the arctic ridge continues to build over the interior.
