An intense low pressure system is moving across the South Coast this morning bringing some precipitation and very strong winds today. A second low will approach from the southwest overnight spreading more precipitation over the region on Tuesday.

An intense low pressure centre moving across Central Vancouver island early this morning is generating very strong southerly winds. Several exposed observation sites around the Inner South coast have reported sustained winds of 80 km/h with gusts to 100. The low is forecast to move onto the mainland coast and weaken this morning. In its wake, winds will ease but remain gusty southwest through midday.
