An intense low situated off the Queen charlottes will stall over the South Coast mountains today and tonight.

The mild and moist southwesterly flow associated with the front has brought freezing levels up to around 1600m this morning rising to 1800m, and the heavy precipitation will fall as rain except over the high alpine. The front will move inland early Tuesday with lighter precipitation and a cooler airmass in its wake.
