    Weakening cold front

    A weakening cold front in a northeast to southwest line through central Vancouver Island will move slowly southward to lie in Washington state by early this evening. A ridge of high pressure will lie west of the island. Moderate to strong northwesterly winds will prevail except for light to moderate southeasterlies today south of the front.
    Today in the alpine..Cloudy. 60 Percent Chance Of Flurries. Alpine High Minus 1.
    Snowfall Accumulation Trace. Freezing Level 2000 Metres Lowering To 1500 Metres This Afternoon. Mountain Top Winds Southerly 40 To 60 Km/H This Morning Becoming Southwest 15 To 30 This Afternoon.
    Today in the valley..Cloudy. 40 percent chance of showers this afternoon. High 11. Tonight Cloudy. 60 percent chance of rain showers or flurries this evening. Low minus 2.

    Dry And Warm

    A Ridge Of High Pressure Will Maintain Generally Dry And Warm Conditions Across The South Coast Today. A Frontal System Currently Stalled Along The Central Coast Will Move Slowly Southward Tonight And Will Weaken As It Crosses The South Coast On Friday.
    The System Will Bring Clouds And Scattered Precipitation To The Region Friday.

    Today..Cloudy With Sunny Periods. Alpine High Plus 2. Freezing Level Near Valley Bottom This Morning Increasing To 1500 Metres This Afternoon. Mountain Top Winds South 40 To 60 Km/H.

    Today should bring a mix of sun and cloud with increasing cloud by this evening. A series of systems will begin to move through our area by tomorrow.

    A cold front in a northeast to southwest line through Queen Charlotte Sound will move slowly southward to lie through central Vancouver Island overnight.

    Weak front to the north

    A storm hammering the north coast will slowly dissipate as it moves south. Much of the assoiciated moisture will dump onto the icefields to the north of us.
    A ridge of high pressure through southern Vancouver Island will slide southeastward into Washington state this morning. Meanwhile a pacific front in a northeast to southwest line through the northern tip of the Charlottes will move southward to lie stationary through Queen Charlotte Sound tonight.
    The Frontal System Over The North Coast Will Slump Southwards And Spread Clouds And Scattered Precipitation Over The South Coast Late Thursday.

    Today..A Mix Of Sun And Cloud. 30 Percent Chance Of Flurries.
    Alpine High Minus 4.
    Freezing Level Rising To 1000 Metres This Afternoon.
    Mountain Top Winds Light And Variable.

    Beauty morning

    Beauty morning out there....
    Up top we have a temp of -10C at Horstman light winds from the south. Sunshine is forecast through the day with a freezing level around 1500-1600m. A pacific front will approach the area Wednesday night bringing moderate snowfall.. The low centred of the queen charlottes will send a good wave of precip through Thursday...
    A ridge of high pressure over Queen Charlotte Sound this morning will move to Vancouver Island tonight. A front well offshore early this morning will approach the north coast on today and will reach the Charlottes late tonight.

    Cool and Blue

    A Weak Ridge Of High Pressure Over The South Coast Will Bring Dry Conditions To The Area Today. An Upper Trough Will Bring Unsettled Conditions Over The Region Tonight And Tomorrow.
    The weather gods seem to finally have granted us a reprieve from the stormy conditions that have prevailed throughout the month of March. We can expect to see a mix of sun and cloud for today and Tuesday. The freezing level should stay close to the valley overnight and rise up with daytime warming.
