    Yesterday's mixed bag threw everything it had at us we saw hail, snow, sun, large clouds, and sun again..

    This morning is cold and clear with just a few high clouds that will be on the increase today as the remains of a weak pacific disturbance hits the coast this afternoon. Winds are expected to remain light out of the SE allthough right now it's blowing 30km/ph out of the south, and the alpine temperature is hovering around -8C.

    Today's UV index is 6 or high so if your out there today lather on the sunscreen even through high clouds you can become mighty crispy.

    The mixed bag

    We've had a real mixed bag of weather around here the last few days. Convective afternoon clouds grow large with daytime heating clinging to the mountain tops. The valley is sunny with periods of light flurries, hail, and sun again. If you don't like the weather either go somewhere else or wait 10 min. A weak ridge of high pressure is sitting over us this morning maybe helping clear things out a bit.

    A weak pacific front will slowly approach from the west late this afternoon lying west of Vancouver island. The front won't arrive in whistler untill late Saturday night

    A bit of grey scuzzy overcast this morning the ceiling sitting around 8500ft. It lokks clearer just to the north of us.
    Unsettled weather with sunny breaks and isolated snow showers are expected through Friday. Saturday could be the best day of the weekend with another weak system threatening to move our way on Sunday.

    A trough of low pressure offshore will slide southeast toward the Oregon coast today. A weak ridge of high pressure across Vancouver Island this morning will retreat to the west as pressures fall over the bc interior this afternoon.

    Mixed bag

    Some really good late season riding to be had on north and west aspects after we received some snow over the last few days.

    Were in a unsettled pattern right into the weekend with convective precipitation building throughout the day. Yesterday saw sun, hail, snow, clouds, sun so it's a real mixed bag out there.

    A weakening ridge of high pressure offshore will move toward the north coast this morning and the northern tip of Vancouver Island this afternoon. A trough of low pressure will approach the coast overnight bringing more flurries.

    Today in the alpine..Mainly Cloudy With Scattered Flurries. Alpine High Minus 2.
    Snowfall Accumulation Trace. Freezing Level Near Valley Bottom Rising To 1500 Metres In The Afternoon. Mountain Top Winds Light And Variable.

    Flurries

    A weak low pressure centre over the northern charlottes will slowly drift southward through Hecate strait today and reach Northern Vancouver Island wednesday morning. A ridge of high Pressure will build across offshore waters today ahead of an approaching trough.

    A Cool And Unstable Airmass Will Spread Scattered Flurries Today Through Wednesday.

    Looks like we've got another system moving in from the west. A pacific front moving across north coastal mountains this evening will bring some light flurries overnight. A 998mb low centered 400km west of the charlottes will descend from the west northwest overnight. The moderate preciptation should arrive by around 8 am. Snow will fall in the alpine throughout the day.
