    A 995 millibar low over offshore waters this morning will move toward northern Vancouver Island tonight.

    Whistler should see clouds and rain currently it's raining in the valley fairly hard, and the temperature is 6C. Snowline is currently at 1600m.

    Today alpine..Flurries Ending Near Noon Then Cloudy With Sunny Periods.
    Alpine High Minus 1.
    Snowfall Accumulation 3 To 5 Cm.
    Freezing Level 1200 Metres Rising To 1700 Metres This Afternoon.

    Long Weekend

    Whistler Weather forecast

    A ridge of high pressure in a north to south line over Vancouver Island will shift eastward today and move out of the region. A 995 millibar low will move onshore overnight tonight and through Saturday bring beleive it or not snow above about 1400m.

    Alpine High Plus 4.
    Freezing Level 1700 Metres.
    Mountain Top Winds Light And Variable.

    Today..A mix of sun and cloud. High 15. UV index 8 or very high.Watch out those high clouds will cook you!

    Tonight..Cloudy. Periods of rain beginning this evening. Low plus 4.

    Saturday..Periods of rain. High 11

    We can expect lingering showers Sunday, and Monday some clearing as the front moves out of the area.

    A ridge of high pressure in a north to south line centred over northern Vancouver Island will drift westward to lie over the Queen Charlotte Islands by this afternoon.

    Today in the valley..Cloudy with sunny periods. High 16. UV index 6 or high.

    Friday..Cloudy with sunny periods. 60 percent chance of showers late
    in the evening. Then rain Friday night High 15.

    A Weak Upper Trough Of Low Pressure Overrides A Surface Ridge To Give A Mix Of Sun And Cloud Today. A Pacific Frontal System Will Come Onshore Friday Night Bringing Cooler And More Moist Conditions.

    A Weak Disturbance Moving Into The Region Will Bring Cooler Temperatures Today And Cloudy Skies. A Weak Ridge Rebuilds On Thursday Giving Slightly Sunnier Skies, But Remaining Cooler.

    A front will cross the north and central coast early this morning.
    A trough of low pressure well offshore this morning will reach the north coast this afternoon

    A ridge of high pressure will remain in a north to south line over Queen Charlotte Sound and southern Hecate strait.

    Today in the valley..Clearing this morning. High 19. UV index 7 or high.

    Long range a weak series of disturbance later in the week will bring more clouds to the area starting Wednesday.

    Warm temperatures

    Dry And Generally Sunny Conditions Across The South Coast Mountains This Weekend.
    Today should be a repeat of yesterday with maybe a few more clouds around increasing this afternoon as some cumulus clouds form near the mountain tops.

    A ridge of high pressure near Langara Island early this morning will move slowly eastward reaching a point just west of cape Scott tonight. A front well offshore will approach northern offshore waters late tonight.
    Blackcomb backcountry
    Alpine.
    Should be a beauty up top with still 293cm of snow. Blackcomb's snow line is holding at the top of the excaliber gondola.
    Starting out this morning at 0C up top, so we should have some overnight crust recovery hopefully it'll melt early this morning for some good spring corn. Today High's up top to around 10C, light southwest winds expected.
