An Upper Trough Will Maintain Unsettled Conditions Over The South Coast Mountains Today. A Vigorous Front Will Approach The Area Tonight Bringing Strong Winds And Significant Amounts Of Snow Tonight And Tomorrow.

Total rainfall amounts of 80 to 100 mm expected for Howe Sound by Monday evening.
Alpine accumulations will reach towards 1m.

A low centre west of the Queen Charlottes this morning will move northeastward today. Strong southeast winds up to 100 km/h are expected to develop ahead of the low this morning over the Queen Charlottes and coastal sections of the north and central coasts. Winds will then shift to southwest this afternoon and abate as the low moves northeastward. Strong southeast winds are also expected over West Vancouver Island East Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast this afternoon as the associated front approaches.
