    Cold Front

    Whistler Weather forecast

    A Cold Front paased through around 4:30am last night bringing hail and thunder and lightning, and breif strong winds. Today we're in between systems. Another Disturbance Will Approach The Coast This Evening Giving Way To Flurries For Tonight And Tomorrow.

    A 968 millibar low just north of Langara Island will continue to move away to the north this morning. The associated front lies over the south coast near Nanaimo and will move rapidly inland this morning. A weak trough of low pressure will follow across the south coast Saturday night. Another deep low will be approaching the Charlottes from the southwest Sunday morning.

    Today Periods of rain ending near noon then cloudy with sunny periods and 60 percent chance of showers. High plus 4.
    Tonight Cloudy. 40 percent chance of rain showers changing to flurries overnight. Low minus 1.
    Sunday Cloudy. 60 percent chance of flurries changing to rain showers in the morning. High plus 4.
    Monday Rain. Low plus 1. High plus 5.
    Tuesday A mix of sun and cloud. Low minus 1. High plus 2. Wednesday Rain or snow. Low minus 2. High plus 2. Fresh snow atop Blackcomb mtn Saturday morning

    5 Day Trend..A Disturbance Is Forecast To Pass Directly Over The Region On Monday Bringing Significant Amounts Of Snow. A Small Ridge Of High Pressure Will Move In On Tuesday Before Another Disturbance Approaches The Region On Wednesday.

    A Weak Frontal System Will Cross The Region Today. Another More Intense Disturbance Will Bring Snow And Strong Winds To The Area Thursday. Snow accumulations in alpine regions will become more seasonal. Looks like the start of a good base.
