An intense pacific 960mb low centered off the the queen charlotte islands will approach the British Columbia coast early Saturday morning. This front will spread strong southeast winds of 60 to 100 km/h at ridge top Saturday, bringing more precipitation and rising freezing levels to around 1500m. It will arrive in Whistler in the early afternoon tommorow.

The latest weather models for tommorow look like light snow starting around 10-11am, and picking up through the afternoon as a vigorous low approaches the south coast. Saturday night the storm will pick up dumping a good amount of snow above 1500m. Accumulation will probably be 5-10cm tommorow, 20-30cm ovenight Sunday.

The front is expected to move through the South Coast late Sunday. A ridge of high pressure will begin to build on Monday providing mainly dry conditions. A weak front is currently forecast move across the ridge on Tuesday with a chance of precipitation.
